The Faculty of Well-being Studies nurtures women who respect life, human dignity, and diverse ways of living, and who can lead independent lives while coexisting with others. Students will develop insight into the interrelationships between people, society, and nature, which enables them to confront the increasingly diverse and complex issues of daily life. With a global perspective that transcends national boundaries, students will be prepared to address real-world problems utilizing practical and informed decision-making.
Well-being is a concept that represents the physical, mental, and social wellness of diverse individuals in the context of their daily lives within the local community. It is a term that expresses a respect for human dignity, and the belief that each precious life has the right to enjoy happiness, abundance, and fulfillment.
In April of 2025, the Faculty of Human Life Studies was renamed as the Faculty of Well-being. The Faculty of Well-being aims to cultivate in its students the wisdom and skills necessary to identify and explore social issues across various fields—such as fields focused on food, daily life, care, and education—and contribute to solving various challenges within these areas.
